Organising and running Northern Ireland’s biggest celebration of all things gay takes time, money and dedication.
Belfast Pride relies on a small team of volunteers who donate their own time and skills, at no cost, to make and deliver a jam packed programme of events every summer… YOUR celebration of YOUR community.
All the committee members balance full time jobs and a host of other commitments with our dedication to Pride, meeting regularly to plan events, rattle buckets, and also promote the festival outside of the community.
When Pride week comes along we’re out dressing stages, filming events, sweeping Squares… and that’s not even considering the endless paperwork and meetings with statutory bodies.
So as Pride Week gets into full swing it’s all hands on deck. The Committee needs willing volunteers to help out with an array of jobs, each one being an essential component in the Pride machine.
We need you to help make YOUR pride better, as there’s only so much this set of hands can do without your help.
Belfast Pride Volunteer Age Policy
The volunteer age policy is meant to ensure that volunteers are given the tools to function in their roles in a safe and knowledgeable way and to prevent volunteers from being put at foreseeable risk.
The minimum age for volunteers working in any capacity is 18 years.
